Murphey Mcroberts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Larkin Mcmurchie, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 12th minute, Damon Peplow got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th match minute, Ogilvie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dane Cowdell to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the game, Oliver Bridson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ogilvie's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gold Coast FC the free kick. In the 18th minute, Buchanan Quinn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Kale Delahide hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rod Dorrell took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Murphey Mcroberts. Gold Coast FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Edmund Hodson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Damon Peplow took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Bremen Muncaster to make any attempt to save it. Edmund Hodson succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 39th playminute. If Damon Peplow had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With 48 minutes on the clock, Hank Ogle commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The excitement rose when Ogilvie's Rod Dorrell after 51 played minutes turned away three defenders near the goal, and after that shot a ball that was too difficult for Gold Coast FC's goalkeeper to hold. Score! 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmund Hodson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute, Edmund Hodson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Murphey Mcroberts successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dane Cowdell kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Bremen Muncaster showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmund Hodson in the 64th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kale Delahide during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gold Coast FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Kale Delahide hit a great ball. 69 minutes into the match, Edmund Hodson notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Ogilvie's Bremen Muncaster. Bremen Muncaster was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Nicholas Benson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Downing Murphy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bremen Muncaster having to interfere. Edmund Hodson struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Bremen Muncaster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gold Coast FC. Gold Coast FC's Edmund Hodson got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Damian Dowsing struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Bremen Muncaster didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gold Coast FC. In the 97th minute Edmund Hodson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bremen Muncaster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 100th match minute, Ogilvie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dane Cowdell to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Gold Coast FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
