Spectators: 6838 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Benny Veitch kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes into the match, Ootha's goal looked a bit too open when Neville Kile came free, but Duncan Alcock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 5th minute, Jamese Aliendi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benny Veitch in the 11th minute of play forced Apunyal's goalkeeper Tobie Missen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jacobs Castray kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Neville Kile charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Neville Kile the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Neville Kile hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 14th minute, Benny Veitch fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tobie Missen, passed just outside the right post. Apunyal's Tobie Missen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Apunyal from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the game, Barnabas Willding was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ootha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Apunyal the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ootha's Barnabas Willding got a free kick in the 17th minute. John Leyden's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Tobie Missen firmly grabbed it by the left post. Duncan Alcock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jamese Aliendi in the 22nd minute of the match. If Jamese Aliendi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute Jamese Aliendi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duncan Alcock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Duncan Alcock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neville Kile, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. When Boyce Willding fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Apunyal's protests and gave Boyce Willding a yellow card for diving instead. In the 35th minute, Boyce Willding hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tobie Missen made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when John Leyden sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Ootha booed when Apunyal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boyce Willding didn't get a good kick on the ball. John Leyden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobie Missen having to interfere. Tobie Missen made an important save on a dangerous shot by John Leyden in the 45th minute. In the 46th minute, one of Apunyal:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Apunyal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Neville Kile made a kick off. Tobie Missen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Leyden, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Rich Dillon charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rich Dillon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rich Dillon kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Tobie Missen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny Veitch in the 64th minute of play. After 64 minutes of play Apunyal's Boyce Willding was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Apunyal getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Boyce Willding hit a great ball. John Leyden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70th minute, Benny Veitch ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tobie Missen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. A collision led to Ootha getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Edwards Behla hit a great ball. With a little luck, Ootha's Duncan Alcock got control of the ball when Jamese Aliendi tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tobie Missen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benny Veitch in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Apunyal's goal looked a bit too open when Benny Veitch came free, but Tobie Missen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tobie Missen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Leyden, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Tobie Missen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Murphey Christini went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Ootha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 90th minute, when Jamese Aliendi scored to the left of an out of position Duncan Alcock, making the score, 3-2. In the 99th minute of the match Edwards Behla sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tobie Missen skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ootha had won after a very even match.
