Calleen's Payton Dalglish proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 2nd minute of the match, managed to save Calleen from getting a goal against them. After having played for 5 minutes, Damon Johnson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Calleen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Damon Johnson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 15th minute there was a penalty for Apunyal. Brandes Huther stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Payton Dalglish. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Neville Kile's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Payton Dalglish was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Neville Kile succeeded in the game's 23rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. Payton Dalglish showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Neville Kile, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Calleen's Jason Staggard got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the match, Apunyal's goal looked a bit too open when Damon Johnson came free, but Tobie Missen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 played minutes Calleen got a freekick which was hit by Berny Atkin. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Neville Kile to make the kick off. Jamese Aliendi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Payton Dalglish having to interfere. 54 minutes into the match, Calleen's goal looked a bit too open when Neville Kile came free, but Payton Dalglish reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jason Staggard's late challenge caught a Apunyal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jason Staggard helped the player get up and apologised. Neville Kile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Neville Kile recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jamese Aliendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Damon Johnson came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Calleen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Damon Johnson couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boyce Willding during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Jason Staggard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jamese Aliendi in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Payton Dalglish saved Calleen from getting behind. 93 minutes into the game, Apunyal's Jamese Aliendi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Payton Dalglish made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0.
