A collision led to The Nations Best getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Archie Moran hit a great ball. 18 minutes into the game, Kevin Neich cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dugald Rhodes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Russell Christina came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the The Nations Best fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Russell Christina couldn't finish the play. Edmund Freeman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Dugald Rhodes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, Pymble Leopards FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bart Clark to maneuver through the defense. After 28 minutes of play, The Nations Best's Edmund Freeman made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dugald Rhodes was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edmund Freeman succeeded in the game's 31st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-3. Bruce Lorenz came out of the goal and Brand Crane tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Payton Mudie fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pymble Leopards FC's protests and gave Payton Mudie a yellow card for diving instead. In the 72nd minute, Payton Mudie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Edmund Freeman put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Dugald Rhodes. Pymble Leopards FC's Dugald Rhodes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kevin Neich in the 83rd minute of play.
