Peter Whitmore's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dakota Aroege read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Pun FC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmundson Miels came free, but Dakota Aroege reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rockwell's Stew Lovis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Rockwell from getting a goal against them. When Arty Tongs came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Pun FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arty Tongs couldn't finish the play. Stew Lovis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from James Pound in the 18th minute of play. After 20 played minutes Rockwell got a freekick which was hit by Rusty Shearn. Dakota Aroege made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peter Whitmore in the 23rd minute of play. 29 minutes into the match, Rockwell's goal looked a bit too open when James Pound came free, but Stew Lovis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arty Tongs scored 1-0 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stew Lovis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edmundson Miels received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Dakota Aroege tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Peter Whitmore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pun FC's Arty Tongs got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Pun FC booed when Rockwell was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danton Awage didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dakota Aroege showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmundson Miels in the 44th minute of the match. Pun FC's Dakota Aroege played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmundson Miels in the 45th minute of play. Rockwell's Stew Lovis proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Rockwell from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The Rockwell fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1.
