Luck Featon struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Nash Watson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tucabia. Herman Notley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 8th play minute Herman Notley came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Nash Watson. 1-0. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Auckland FC's goalkeeper Nash Watson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Berry Pustak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmonds Leydin having to interfere. Peter Orr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Herman Notley got free with Nash Watson in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nash Watson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Herman Notley in the 31st minute. Herman Notley could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Nash Watson made a huge save. 43 minutes into the match, Auckland FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luck Featon came free, but Nash Watson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Herman Notley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Nash Watson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luck Featon made a kick off. In the 52nd minute, Herman Notley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Nash Watson was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. The supporters of Tucabia booed when Auckland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duke Gaffigan didn't get a good kick on the ball. 59 minutes into the match, Tucabia's Luck Featon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Nash Watson narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Herman Notley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Nash Watson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Auckland FC's zone, Luck Featon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nash Watson came out of the goal and Luck Featon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Herman Notley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 82nd minute, Stewart Soekirno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herman Notley in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nash Watson saved Auckland FC from getting behind. A collision led to Auckland FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Ollie Sobezak hit a great ball. In the 85th minute, Luck Featon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Herman Notley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nash Watson having to interfere. Herman Notley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
