Humphrey Lewry was out of position in the 3 minute of play, and Karl Tinsley capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Karl Tinsley really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When Vasile Zburlea came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the 二龙盘昌 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasile Zburlea couldn't finish the play. In the 8thth minute of the game Vasile Zburlea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Melbourne 2023's Carson Feutrill was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, 二龙盘昌's Vasile Zburlea got a free kick in the 12th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 21 minutes, Humphrey Lewry successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 23 minutes into the match, Paul Lord had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Carson Feutrill. Melbourne 2023's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paul Lord was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. If Rudolph Sibbold had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adolph Gannan kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Carson Feutrill showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul Lord in the 36th minute of the match. Humphrey Lewry showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elliott Sibbold, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. A collision led to 二龙盘昌 getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Vasile Zburlea hit a great ball. Elliott Sibbold received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Humphrey Lewry came out and tried to block the shot, but Elliott Sibbold slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 42nd minute.
A collision led to Melbourne 2023 getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Karl Tinsley hit a great ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Rudolph Sibbold managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melbourne 2023's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rudolph Sibbold was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Melbourne 2023's goal looked a bit too open when Vasile Zburlea came free, but Carson Feutrill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carson Feutrill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasile Zburlea, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Vasile Zburlea took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Carson Feutrill to make any attempt to save it. Humphrey Lewry showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elliott Sibbold in the 70th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Melbourne 2023's Alfred Heathwood got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Carson Feutrill showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paul Lord, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. Vasile Zburlea hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Elliott Sibbold managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melbourne 2023's supporters rose to their feet, but Elliott Sibbold was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Humphrey Lewry breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the 二龙盘昌 defense, Rudolph Sibbold kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Humphrey Lewry. The 二龙盘昌 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Humphrey Lewry should have stopped the shot. Paul Lord sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 二龙盘昌's Humphrey Lewry played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Tinsley in the 86th minute of play. Humphrey Lewry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Lowes in the 91st minute of play. Melbourne 2023's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
