Amos Keam might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Birrell Mckay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amos Keam ran back to his position shaking his head. Fleming Beverly's late challenge caught a BVB09's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fleming Beverly helped the player get up and apologised. Fleming Beverly kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Jarrod Howie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Birrell Mckay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, BVB09's Myles Death sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Birrell Mckay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Myles Death sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Birrell Mckay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Myles Death's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Meyer Locke charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Meyer Locke the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of BVB09 booed when Bulleen Zebras F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Meyer Locke didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amos Keam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, BVB09's Henry Matthes got control of the ball when Reese Weeks tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience was convinced that Patrick Osbiston's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Birrell Mckay was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amos Keam in the 28th minute of play forced Bulleen Zebras F.C.'s goalkeeper Birrell Mckay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bulleen Zebras F.C.'s Birrell Mckay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jarrod Howie in the 33rd minute of play. Bill Schoenke hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Amos Keam might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Birrell Mckay. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amos Keam ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 47th minute, Bill Schoenke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Bulleen Zebras F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BVB09 were winning 0-1.

54 minutes into the match, Amos Keam dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Birrell Mckay, 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amos Keam in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Birrell Mckay saved Bulleen Zebras F.C. from getting behind. Meyer Locke got his second yellow card in the match during the 59th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Meyer Locke kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Jarrod Howie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 63 minutes into the game, Buck Blattman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bulleen Zebras F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BVB09 the free kick. 67 minutes into the match, Bulleen Zebras F.C.'s goalkeeper Birrell Mckay had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Amos Keam. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for BVB09! Birrell Mckay stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Myles Death's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Patrick Osbiston notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Bulleen Zebras F.C.'s Birrell Mckay. Birrell Mckay was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Amos Keam recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over BVB09 could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Bulleen Zebras F.C. throughout the match.
