The referee ignored PEPE United's protests and gave Phillip Dorrell a yellow card for diving instead. Phillip Dorrell kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind PEPE United's goalkeeper Filomeno Jerico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 9 minutes into the game, David Odd cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Filomeno Jerico was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Corbett Paynter struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Filomeno Jerico didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ermington FC. The supporters of PEPE United booed when Ermington FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Corbett Paynter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Quincy Dobson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Angus Mcjunkins having to interfere. Alford Yard in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Angus Mcjunkins, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Angus Mcjunkins made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Alford Yard sent off a good shot on target. Clifford Wivell hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, PEPE United's Patrick Miels got a free kick in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Corbett Paynter managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ermington FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Corbett Paynter was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Filomeno Jerico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. PEPE United's Alford Yard got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 34 minutes into the game, Quincy Dobson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PEPE United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ermington FC the free kick. After 34 played minutes PEPE United got a freekick which was hit by Quincy Dobson. Darryl Brotherton placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! After having played for 38 minutes, David Odd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ermington FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Odd was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 42nd minute, Quincy Dobson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gregg Willis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Filomeno Jerico tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The PEPE United players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ermington FC were winning 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alford Yard was the one to do the kick off. In the 60th minute Alford Yard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angus Mcjunkins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PEPE United's attentive Quincy Dobson managed to snatch the ball when Clifford Wivell made a throw-in in the 62nd minute of the game. Alford Yard's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Angus Mcjunkins read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. PEPE United's Nathaniel Spurr was substituted for Alford Yard. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ermington FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 67th minute. Penalty! In the 70th minute there was a penalty for PEPE United. Phillip Dorrell stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Angus Mcjunkins. 1-1. After a rather tough play, Ermington FC's Darryl Brotherton got a free kick in the 74th minute. David Odd might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filomeno Jerico. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. David Odd ran back to his position shaking his head. Filomeno Jerico made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when David Odd sent off a good shot on target. Angus Mcjunkins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nathaniel Spurr, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. In the 91st match minute, Ermington FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rex Fallen to maneuver through the defense.
