Earle Shirdon showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boyce Ryan, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Dani Tresise received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Barry Pickhills tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Randolph Beckwith blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Barry Pickhills having to make a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bryce Malacarne during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Dapto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bryce Malacarne to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Boyce Ryan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dapto's supporters rose to their feet, but Boyce Ryan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Earle Shirdon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Payton Grieve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Max Deal was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Dapto fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 30th minute. Penalty! Barney Pukallus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Earle Shirdon having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Randolph Beckwith to strike the kick off in the second half. 0-2 became the score in the 52nd minute when Randolph Beckwith elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Payton Grieve might have been able to make a better finish in the 62nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Earle Shirdon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Payton Grieve ran back to his position shaking his head. 71 minutes into the game, Justin Toomey recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Barry Pickhills. Justin Toomey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. With an all-out effort, Toulkerrie's Barry Pickhills threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Randolph Beckwith, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 81 minutes, Barney Pukallus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Dapto and the Toulkerrie players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Dapto's Barney Pukallus got a free kick in the 81st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Long Leydin during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Earle Shirdon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Payton Grieve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Long Leydin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 90 minutes had been played. The supporters of Dapto booed when Toulkerrie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Long Leydin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 93 played minutes Randolph Beckwith rounded Dapto's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-5. Toulkerrie played a much better game than Dapto and deserved their victory. The Dapto players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
