MooPee United's Larry Coburn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paz Coote in the 13th minute of play. If Otto Mcvey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otto Mcvey could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Larry Coburn made a huge save. Meyer Orvad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgar Coldicutt having to interfere. Paz Coote sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bran Stevenson's late challenge caught a Gold Coast City FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matthew Petty's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 85thth minute, Edgar Coldicutt skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 87 minutes into the match, Gold Coast City FC's goal looked a bit too open when Meyer Orvad came free, but Edgar Coldicutt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Coldicutt was a little too slow when Bran Stevenson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 94th minute. The score was now 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
