The supporters of Perth Glory booed when Dapto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berne Gilding didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Tiger Conlan came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Perth Glory fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tiger Conlan couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 15th minute of the game. One of Dapto:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Perth Glory:s goal. The goalkeeper, Barry Pickhills, was totally fooled by Perth Glory's Murphy Paynter, who 17 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Berne Mcmahon during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Perth Glory's Berne Mcmahon got a free kick in the 21st minute. Alvin Watman succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 26th playminute. If Payton Grieve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Dapto's zone, Tiger Conlan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barry Pickhills came out of the goal and Tiger Conlan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Boyce Ryan to make the kick off. Boyce Ryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Perth Glory's Rodd Powell got a free kick in the 56th minute. If Rodd Powell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiger Conlan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Barry Pickhills read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Dapto's Boyce Ryan got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kane Newton's late challenge caught a Perth Glory's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kane Newton helped the player get up and apologised. In the 69th match minute, Dapto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kane Newton to maneuver through the defense. Tiger Conlan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Barry Pickhills having to interfere. Tiger Conlan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, Perth Glory's Tiger Conlan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Barry Pickhills narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gregg Jeffress kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 79th minute of the match Case Mcvey shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tom Grieve showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Dapto's Payton Grieve got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dapto's Barry Pickhills played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiger Conlan in the 93rd minute of play. The supporters of Perth Glory booed when Dapto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barney Pukallus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Perth Glory were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Dapto for a fine match.
