The audience thought a goal was coming when Best Mogork got free with Bradley Mcneven in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, SexyMenG's Bradley Mcneven got control of the ball when Marcus Fraser tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Southern Sharks's zone, Connor Erwin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brooker Weeks came out of the goal and Connor Erwin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Brooker Weeks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeffers Solomon in the 30th minute of play. Best Mogork struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Bradley Mcneven made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Best Mogork sent off a good shot on target. When Connor Erwin fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SexyMenG's protests and gave Connor Erwin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th minute, Connor Erwin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Billy Hursey, 48 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcus Fraser stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Jones Hoey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Southern Sharks's Brooker Weeks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Connor Erwin in the 58th minute of play. In the 61st minute Jeffers Solomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brooker Weeks saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. SexyMenG's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jeremy Goucher in the 62nd minute. After taking down the ball on SexyMenG's corner Jeremy Goucher fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Brooker Weeks quite easily take care of the ball. Marcus Fraser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Bradley Mcneven tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 70th minute, Marcus Fraser got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
