The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Elliot Walkington during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Kentville booed when Casa do Benfica em Sydney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elliot Walkington didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Kentville's goal looked a bit too open when Damian Turnbull came free, but Ned Stevens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brooks Hardiman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Ned Stevens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Kentville was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Darryl Bailey to maneuver through the defense. Bradshaw Keam, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 25 minutes of play, Casa do Benfica em Sydney's Damian Turnbull made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. In the 37th minute Damian Turnbull shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ned Stevens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Damian Turnbull fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ned Stevens having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brock Morey was the one to do the kick off. But to his dismay, Brock Morey quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Brock Morey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jacobs Aylwin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brock Morey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casa do Benfica em Sydney's Jacobs Aylwin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brayden Reilly in the 70th minute of play. Elliot Walkington was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Elliot Walkington hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 79th minute Brayden Reilly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobs Aylwin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brayden Reilly got in the 82nd a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Jacobs Aylwin handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Brayden Reilly had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Kentville booed when Casa do Benfica em Sydney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Damian Turnbull didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kentville's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
