The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Best Mogork could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Jonty Freel made a huge save. Kirby Mitchell kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Edwardo Christina struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Brooker Weeks didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. Zvezda. Jonty Freel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Best Mogork in the 15th minute. If Edwardo Christina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brooker Weeks took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edwardo Christina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 24 minutes into the game, C. Zvezda's Edwardo Christina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Brooker Weeks made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Martyon Nobes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C. Zvezda's Edwardo Christina suffered a torn muscle in his knee after 31 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Billy Hursey charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Billy Hursey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The long shot by Burns Lorenz in the 37th minute really tested Jonty Freel's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Burtt Watman kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. The supporters of Southern Sharks booed when C. Zvezda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Burtt Watman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Southern Sharks players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. C. Zvezda were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Marcus Fraser to make the kick off. Best Mogork took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonty Freel. Jonty Freel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. The supporters of Southern Sharks booed when C. Zvezda was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Everett Potter didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th match minute, Southern Sharks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Best Mogork to maneuver through the defense. Burns Lorenz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 58th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jonty Freel. C. Zvezda's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as C. Zvezda's Martyon Nobes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Brooker Weeks. That made the score 1-3 after 61 minutes of play. In the 64th match minute, C. Zvezda was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Burtt Watman to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Best Mogork in the 66th minute of play forced C. Zvezda's goalkeeper Jonty Freel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Southern Sharks's Brooker Weeks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martyon Nobes in the 67th minute of play. Jonty Freel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Marcus Fraser, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Best Mogork had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brooker Weeks showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Martyon Nobes in the 81st minute of the match. When Best Mogork came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Southern Sharks fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Best Mogork couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute Marcus Fraser shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonty Freel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92ndth minute of the game Marcus Fraser who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. Zvezda's Jonty Freel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Southern Sharks getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Kirby Mitchell hit a great ball. Nelson Burmeister was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 96th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Southern Sharks supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching C. Zvezda's performance. The match ended with a win for C. Zvezda.
