Jonty Freel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brock Morey, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martyon Nobes in the 10th minute of play forced Kentville's goalkeeper Ned Stevens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 13 minutes, Martyon Nobes took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ned Stevens to make any attempt to save it. C. Zvezda's Jonty Freel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brayden Reilly in the 17th minute of play. Edwardo Christina's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Ned Stevens skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Darryl Bailey charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Darryl Bailey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nelson Burmeister took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 24th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ned Stevens. Kentville's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Martyon Nobes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ned Stevens having to make a save. Edwardo Christina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ned Stevens tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edwardo Christina blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ned Stevens having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Brayden Reilly put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Jonty Freel. Brayden Reilly recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brock Morey might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonty Freel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brock Morey ran back to his position shaking his head. Edwardo Christina could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Ned Stevens made a huge save. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Martyon Nobes to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonty Freel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brock Morey in the 52nd minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paz Awage during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Paz Awage kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Clark Stockwin was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 56th played minute, shot the ball from way out. In the 96th minute of the match Clark Stockwin sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Jonty Freel skillfully saved the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
