Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Justin Mills kicked off to start the match. Bran Spurr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamie Warren, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute, Cole Belford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 9th minute, Cullen Missen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bran Spurr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jamie Warren, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. If Stewart Curtis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Justin Mills's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gregory Conlin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. Bran Spurr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamie Warren in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Stewart Curtis got free with Gregory Conlin in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Justin Mills kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gregory Conlin. That made the score 1-0 in the 29 minute of play. Stewart Curtis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, Homewood's Gregory Conlin got control of the ball when Stewart Curtis tried to sneak it across the goal line. Justin Mills received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Gregory Conlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cullen Missen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Jamie Warren made the kick off in the second half. Stewart Curtis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Homewood's zone, Justin Mills stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gregory Conlin came out of the goal and Justin Mills tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stewart Curtis struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Gregory Conlin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wellard. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Justin Mills in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregory Conlin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Stewart Curtis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute Jamie Warren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Spurr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 81 minutes into the match, Homewood's goal looked a bit too open when Stewart Curtis came free, but Gregory Conlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gregory Conlin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stewart Curtis, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Stewart Curtis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregory Conlin having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Homewood's Lowrey Stageman got a free kick in the 85th minute. Justin Mills received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Gregory Conlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Justin Mills fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregory Conlin having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Wellard had played much better football throughout.
