Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Stewart Curtis took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Cain Shipman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Max Unicomb was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The attack was good, but when Cain Shipman in the 8th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 11 minutes into the match, Wellard's goal looked a bit too open when Earle Todman came free, but Bran Spurr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th match minute, Cancun was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Powell to maneuver through the defense. Cain Shipmans short, quick shot in the 17thth minute got Max Unicomb to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 20 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Wellard's Stewart Curtis fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. After a rather tough play, Cancun's Lauder Marsland got a free kick in the 26th minute. Fletcher Hart kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Justin Mills's late challenge caught a Cancun's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Justin Mills helped the player get up and apologised. Bent Paull was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 32nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bran Spurr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dacosta Galvin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Cain Shipman notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Cancun's Max Unicomb. Max Unicomb was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 44 minutes, Cain Shipman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wellard's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cain Shipman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Max Unicomb stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cain Shipman's shot from short distance in the 51st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Stewart Curtis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wellard's supporters rose to their feet, but Stewart Curtis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Max Unicomb breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Cain Shipman came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Wellard fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cain Shipman couldn't finish the play. If Stewart Curtis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Max Unicomb came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Wellard's Cain Shipman. But to his dismay, Cain Shipman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. The supporters of Wellard booed when Cancun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Earle Todman didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Stewart Curtis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Max Unicomb was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnold Millgate during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 72 minutes into the game, Stewart Curtis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Max Unicomb was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Lauder Marsland hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Cancun's goal looked a bit too open when Stewart Curtis came free, but Max Unicomb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bran Spurr came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Cancun's Dacosta Galvin. But to his dismay, Dacosta Galvin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. Max Unicomb took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cain Shipman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the Wellard players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
