Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bran Spurr, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Darryl Rhoades's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bran Spurr was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Bran Spurr stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darryl Rhoades's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Fleming Mapps charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fleming Mapps the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Darryl Rhoades received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Bran Spurr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 30th minute of the match Fleming Mapps completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fleming Mapps a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 31st minute, Bishop Tevelien got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Darryl Rhoades scored 2-0 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bran Spurr, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Wellard booed when Liverpool FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ben Mitchell didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 41st minute, Cain Shipman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Stewart Curtis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Darryl Rhoades to make the kick off. After 70 played minutes Wellard got a freekick which was hit by Fletcher Hart. In the 74th minute, Cain Shipman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stew Whitsitt was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Bran Spurr stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darryl Rhoades's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. Liverpool FC's Stew Whitsitt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Liverpool FC from getting a goal against them. Andre Tarrant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Bran Spurr came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Liverpool FC's Bishop Tevelien. But to his dismay, Bishop Tevelien quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. 91 minutes into the game, Liverpool FC's Darryl Rhoades nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bran Spurr made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. When Fletcher Hart fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wellard's protests and gave Fletcher Hart a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th minute, Fletcher Hart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
