When Angus Blattman fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored HITIT FOOTBALL CLUB's protests and gave Angus Blattman a yellow card for diving instead. In the 2nd minute, Angus Blattman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Cancun's Earle Todman slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joseph Plummer. That made the score 1-0 after 5 minutes of play. Earle Todman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joseph Plummer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Dacosta Galvin fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Joseph Plummer, passed just outside the right post. Max Unicomb made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Al Tevelien in the 18th minute of play. Joseph Plummer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Earle Todman, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Al Tevelien recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. HITIT FOOTBALL CLUB's Fletcher Keato got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Al Tevelien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Cancun's Earle Todman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joseph Plummer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dacosta Galvin scored 2-0 in the 37th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joseph Plummer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joseph Plummer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Earle Todman, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Earle Todman to make the kick off. Dacosta Galvin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Joseph Plummer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. HITIT FOOTBALL CLUB's Joseph Plummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dacosta Galvin in the 56th minute of play. When Dacosta Galvin came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Cancun fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dacosta Galvin couldn't finish the play. In the 60th match minute, HITIT FOOTBALL CLUB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rex Beaverley to maneuver through the defense. Earle Todman took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joseph Plummer. Joseph Plummer dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Al Tevelien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Max Unicomb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joseph Plummer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dacosta Galvin, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. Al Tevelien in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Max Unicomb, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fletcher Keato in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Max Unicomb prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 79 minutes into the game, Dacosta Galvin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cancun's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave HITIT FOOTBALL CLUB the free kick. Dacosta Galvin kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Joseph Plummer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Earle Todman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fletcher Keato received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Max Unicomb tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 87th minute, HITIT FOOTBALL CLUB's Fletcher Keato dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-1. HITIT FOOTBALL CLUB's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Cancun had won, even though HITIT FOOTBALL CLUB had held more of the ball.
