Arsenal Academy's Kyle Heathwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eliot Rhoades in the 10th minute of play. 12 minutes into the match, Arsenal Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Eliot Rhoades came free, but Kyle Heathwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Marshall Greenan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Kyle Heathwood, 1-0. Daniel Kinnaird stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Carl Swan's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. Arsenal Academy's Kyle Heathwood proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Arsenal Academy from getting a goal against them. 40 minutes into the match, Arsenal Academy's goalkeeper Kyle Heathwood had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Howard Baptiste. Ed Oshea hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Eavan Bouer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Kinnaird having to interfere. 47 minutes into the match, Arsenal Academy's goal looked a bit too open when Eliot Rhoades came free, but Kyle Heathwood reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliot Rhoades was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Keysie Knights booed when Arsenal Academy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eddy Howard didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eliot Rhoades in the 62nd minute of play forced Arsenal Academy's goalkeeper Kyle Heathwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eliot Rhoades received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Kyle Heathwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Keysie Knights's Marshall Greenan got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Howard Baptiste had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliot Rhoades fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kyle Heathwood having to interfere.
