Through an outstanding action, after 42 minutes, Alberto Butterworth successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 44th minute, Baxter Carbery got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Burt Kinnaird hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Baxter Carbery made a kick off. Ray Meyers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 51st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 57 minutes, Ray Meyers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brookdale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ray Meyers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 62 minutes into the match, Brookdale's goal looked a bit too open when Dakota Ritter came free, but Alberto Butterworth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matthias Shearn struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Alberto Butterworth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pilbara Palisades. Baxter Carbery sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alberto Butterworth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dakota Ritter in the 75th minute of play. The attack was good, but when Dakota Ritter in the 79th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Matthias Shearn in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alberto Butterworth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 85 minutes into the game, Baxter Carbery recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jason Adamson. Baxter Carbery showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. In the 88th minute, Burt Kinnaird hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Brookdale booed when Pilbara Palisades was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlton Maslin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ray Meyers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Brookdale players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
