Seating: 1836, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Baxter Carbery made the kick off which started today's match. If Tobie Bleazard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 13 played minutes Brookdale got a freekick which was hit by Olin Murphy. After a defensive mix-up in Brookdale's zone, Abraham Whelpton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Butterworth came out of the goal and Abraham Whelpton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baxter Carbery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Dante Clubley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Chelsea got a freekick which was hit by Jess Beer. The audience was convinced that Baxter Carbery's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dante Clubley was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Alberto Butterworth came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Chelsea's Tobie Bleazard. But to his dismay, Tobie Bleazard quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Jess Beer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Alberto Butterworth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tobie Bleazard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Butterworth having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Brookdale's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Whelpton came free, but Alberto Butterworth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Chelsea fans' excitement grew in the 47th match minute when Chelsea's Tobie Bleazard looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Abraham Whelpton was the one to do the kick off. In the 57th minute Ray Meyers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Clubley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Abraham Whelpton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Abraham Whelpton came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Chelsea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abraham Whelpton couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ray Meyers in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Clubley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 74 minutes into the match, Chelsea's goal looked a bit too open when Baxter Carbery came free, but Dante Clubley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Chelsea getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Art Ceney hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Ray Meyers managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brookdale's supporters rose to their feet, but Ray Meyers was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Clubley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 84th minute, Jamese Oreilly hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes had been played when some careless play by Chelsea's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jeffers Nolan was slow to take the kick. During this time Brookdale's players had a chance to rest. Jeffers Nolan made a great header on Brookdale's corner, it was just that Chelsea's Dante Clubley managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 89th minute of the game. One of Chelsea:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Brookdale:s goal. The referee gave Brookdale a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jeffers Nolan, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Chelsea's Dante Clubley. 1-3. After 95 minutes of play, Chelsea's Tobie Bleazard made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alberto Butterworth was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chelsea played a much better game than Brookdale and deserved their victory. The Brookdale players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
