Paco Giddey showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luke Cordrey, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After some careless play in the New Gen FC defense, Luke Cordrey kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Paco Giddey. The New Gen FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Paco Giddey should have stopped the shot. After 9 played minutes True Balance FB got a freekick which was hit by Birrell Burmeister. Jarrett Jeffress fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dale Lorenz having to interfere. Jarrett Jeffress could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Dale Lorenz made a huge save. Dale Lorenz made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Jarrett Jeffress sent off a good shot on target. Luke Cordrey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paco Giddey having to interfere. Birrell Burmeister received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Paco Giddey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Boyde Ashby reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dale Lorenz. The goal made the score 1-1. The supporters of True Balance FB booed when New Gen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benny Buckland didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Travers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paco Giddey took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luke Cordrey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brendon Calver kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Eavan Rutledge struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Dale Lorenz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for New Gen FC.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Birrell Burmeister was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Brendon Calver mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the True Balance FB and the New Gen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Brendon Calver kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Luke Cordrey managed to get in a good position for a shot. True Balance FB's supporters rose to their feet, but Luke Cordrey was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paco Giddey breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Paco Giddey successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. New Gen FC's Jarrett Jeffress got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Birrell Burmeister sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 69 minutes, Luke Cordrey managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. True Balance FB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luke Cordrey was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 71st minute, Jarrett Jeffress ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dale Lorenz was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Dale Lorenz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarrett Jeffress went, in the 75th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Al Gannan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, New Gen FC's goalkeeper Paco Giddey had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luke Cordrey. Darell Castner kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jarrett Jeffress in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dale Lorenz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. New Gen FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
