Bunnaby's Ray Schoenke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnie Bonison in the 19th minute of play. Ray Schoenke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abe Beverly in the 21st minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Bunnaby's goal looked a bit too open when Bryden Monck came free, but Ray Schoenke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidney Goiano got free with Bath Trenoweth in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Case Convine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abe Beverly in the 26th minute of play forced Bunnaby's goalkeeper Ray Schoenke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bryden Monck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ray Schoenke having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barnabas Pears in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ray Schoenke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sidney Goiano in the 36thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bath Trenoweth, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Case Convine managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bunnaby's supporters rose to their feet, but Case Convine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bath Trenoweth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 94thth minute of the game Sidney Goiano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Andergrove's Bath Trenoweth was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Bunnaby manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Andergrove to win.
