Spectators: 8049 (Terracing: 6038, Seating: 1851, VIP seats: 160) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nicholas Maddern made the kick off which started today's match. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elite FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Plank, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 10 played minutes Warburn F.C got a freekick which was hit by Bernie Cridland. In the 11th minute of the match Neil Kean sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lauder Kayrooz skillfully saved the ball. Al Veitch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Kenneth Plank tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenneth Plank showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicholas Maddern in the 19th minute of the match. 23 minutes into the game, Rich Prinsep was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Warburn F.C's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elite FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Warburn F.C's Rich Prinsep got a free kick in the 24th minute. With his leg Lauder Kayrooz managed to avoid a goal in the 27thth minute, when Elite FC's Kirby Didlock fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 27th match minute, Warburn F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bernie Cridland to maneuver through the defense. Eden Morey was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Kirby Didlock took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lauder Kayrooz. Lauder Kayrooz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Warburn F.C's Lauder Kayrooz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Warburn F.C from getting a goal against them. If Eden Morey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Warburn F.C getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Kent Markwell hit a great ball. After having played for 48 minutes, Nicholas Maddern managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Warburn F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicholas Maddern was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eden Morey to strike the kick off in the second half. Kirby Didlock received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Lauder Kayrooz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eden Morey in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lauder Kayrooz saved Warburn F.C from getting behind. Warburn F.C's Lauder Kayrooz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eden Morey in the 62nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Warburn F.C defense, Kirby Didlock kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lauder Kayrooz. The Warburn F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lauder Kayrooz should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Warburn F.C getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Nero Rann hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the match, Elite FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicholas Maddern came free, but Kenneth Plank reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Warburn F.C's Lauder Kayrooz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eden Morey in the 79th minute of play. In the 89thth minute of the game Eden Morey who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Warburn F.C's Lauder Kayrooz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kirby Didlock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauder Kayrooz having to interfere. Lauder Kayrooz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eden Morey, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When Kent Markwell fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Warburn F.C's protests and gave Kent Markwell a yellow card for diving instead. 98 minutes into the match, Elite FC's Eden Morey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lauder Kayrooz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Warburn F.C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
