Barnabas Pears's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronald Shipman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 4th minute of play. Nathaniel Dollymore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Bath Trenoweth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bryden Monck in the 10th minute of play forced Oxford United's goalkeeper Ronald Shipman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Andergrove's Barnabas Pears got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rick Saisell charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rick Saisell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 12th match minute, Oxford United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rick Saisell to maneuver through the defense. Christopher Markcrow blasted a shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bath Trenoweth having to make a save. In the 29th match minute, Andergrove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abe Beverly to maneuver through the defense. Bath Trenoweth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christopher Markcrow, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Barnabas Pears managed to get in a good position for a shot. Andergrove's supporters rose to their feet, but Barnabas Pears was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronald Shipman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 34 played minutes Oxford United got a freekick which was hit by Dani Duncan. Barnabas Pears received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Ronald Shipman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Oxford United's Christopher Markcrow was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 43rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The supporters of Andergrove booed when Oxford United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Remington Porter didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barnabas Pears in the 59th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronald Shipman saved Oxford United from getting behind. Andergrove's Abe Beverly suffered a concussion in the 63rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 64th minute, Remington Porter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Oxford United's Christopher Markcrow got a free kick in the 66th minute. A hard shot by Lewis Twite from long distance, 67 minutes into the match, got Ronald Shipman's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Bryden Monck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ronald Shipman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nathaniel Dollymore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Bath Trenoweth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nathaniel Dollymore struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. With his leg Ronald Shipman managed to avoid a goal in the 94thth minute, when Andergrove's Bryden Monck fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
