Kenneth Plank made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jake Durbridge in the 4th minute of play. Russell Howie's late challenge caught a Bankstown FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Russell Howie helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Elite FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! In the 10th minute there was a penalty for Bankstown FC. Russell Egel stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Kenneth Plank. 0-1. Bennett Osbiston kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kirby Didlock got free with Arthur Aliendi in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arthur Aliendi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eden Morey's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. Kirby Didlocks short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Arthur Aliendi to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Kirby Didlock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Aliendi having to interfere. Eden Morey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Eden Morey's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arthur Aliendi was relentless in the 41st minute of the game. Eden Morey kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 48th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bankstown FC's goalkeeper Arthur Aliendi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eden Morey to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eden Morey in the 52nd minute of play forced Bankstown FC's goalkeeper Arthur Aliendi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Kirby Didlock managed to get in a good position for a shot. Elite FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kirby Didlock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arthur Aliendi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eden Morey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Aliendi having to interfere. 72 minutes into the game, Robert Smee recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kenneth Plank. Robert Smee showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 77 minutes into the match, Bankstown FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kirby Didlock came free, but Arthur Aliendi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Darley Rutledge kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Eden Morey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Arthur Aliendi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kirby Didlock fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arthur Aliendi having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Bankstown FC's Ivan Sinden got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute of the match Elite FC got a corner. Bankstown FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Neil Kean ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Elite FC's corner Neil Kean fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Arthur Aliendi quite easily take care of the ball. In the 94th minute, Kirby Didlock got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 96 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bankstown FC!
