An unexpectedly hard shot by Brookes Barugh in the 16th minute of play forced Sunshine Coast FC's goalkeeper Fletcher Terris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bindi FC's Matthew Mcenally played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brant Mcneven in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute Paco Durbin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fletcher Terris saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 23 played minutes Sunshine Coast FC got a freekick which was hit by Ed Gummow. After a rather tough play, Sunshine Coast FC's Ed Gummow got a free kick in the 30th minute. If Brookes Barugh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bindi FC's Matthew Mcenally played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brant Mcneven in the 40th minute of play. Paco Durbin succeeded in the game's 45th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brookes Barugh was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Bindi FC got a freekick which was hit by Russ Houldsworth. After 53 played minutes, Sunshine Coast FC's Bob Yard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Matthew Mcenally came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sunshine Coast FC reached it. In the 55th match minute, Bindi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Russ Houldsworth to maneuver through the defense. Bob Yard's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Matthew Mcenally on his right side and into the goal. 56 minutes into the game it was 1-1. Brookes Barugh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Brant Mcneven managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sunshine Coast FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Brant Mcneven was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthew Mcenally breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 78th match minute, Bindi FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kelvin Fulton to maneuver through the defense. Ronald Mcroberts fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthew Mcenally having to interfere. If Ronald Mcroberts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Paco Durbin was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Bindi FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Paco Durbin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Brant Mcneven shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Mcenally saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Ronald Mcroberts got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Brookes Barugh came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Bindi FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brookes Barugh couldn't finish the play.
