Eden's Remy Gilding got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Eden's zone, Rudolph Kiel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eliot Eastman came out of the goal and Rudolph Kiel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eliot Eastman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jason Atkin, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Eden's Eliot Eastman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save Eden from getting a goal against them. 50 minutes into the game, Corder Ambrose cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Roger Wood was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The wind increased when Jason Atkin made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Jason Atkin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Excelsior FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 64 minutes into the match, Excelsior FC's goalkeeper Roger Wood had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Corder Ambrose. Eden's Remy Gilding got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 68 minutes into the match, Rudolph Kiel notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Eden's Eliot Eastman. Eliot Eastman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eliot Eastman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolph Kiel, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. If Jason Atkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Jason Atkin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliot Eastman was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. When Jason Atkin came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Excelsior FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jason Atkin couldn't finish the play.
