The audience was convinced that Brant Mcneven's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eliot Eastman was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. If Corder Ambrose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Remy Gilding to make the kick off. Ronald Mcroberts took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eliot Eastman. Eliot Eastman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After having played for 57 minutes, Ronald Mcroberts managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sunshine Coast FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronald Mcroberts was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remy Gilding fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fletcher Terris having to interfere. In the 66thth minute of the game Brant Mcneven who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Eden's Eliot Eastman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 72nd minute, Antonia Shearn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 minutes of play Sunshine Coast FC's Ed Gummow was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground.
