Spectators: 7483 (Terracing: 5983, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 100) Henry Slattery made the kick off and thus started the match. Laurence Foley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danton Marsland read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes had been played when some careless play by Bungunya's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Chuck Garing was slow to take the kick. During this time Highett's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Highett's Chuck Garing to fire away a dangerous shot which Danton Marsland despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Henry Slattery received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Nash Cuddihy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Everitt Schultz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danton Marsland having to make a save. In the 17th minute Henry Slattery shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nash Cuddihy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Bungunya's Danton Marsland got control of the ball when Laurence Foley tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Bungunya's Jason Powell in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Highett's goalie prevented a goal. Danton Marsland made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Laurence Foley sent off a good shot on target. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Clark Pearce during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 47th minute, Clark Pearce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Everitt Schultz to make the kick off. Highett's Everitt Schultz got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Highett's Nash Cuddihy got control of the ball when Jason Powell tried to sneak it across the goal line. After having played for 74 minutes, Laurence Foley managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Highett's supporters crossed their fingers, but Laurence Foley was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 78 played minutes Bungunya got a freekick which was hit by Caine Mcvicar. In the 79th minute of the match Matthias Terris shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Danton Marsland showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Case Staggard's late challenge caught a Bungunya's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Case Staggard helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd minute, Case Staggard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Highett's Nash Cuddihy got control of the ball when Jason Powell tried to sneak it across the goal line. Laurence Foley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Jason Powell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bungunya's supporters rose to their feet, but Jason Powell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nash Cuddihy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nash Cuddihy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Henry Slattery, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. In the 93rd match minute, Highett was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barth Maunsell to maneuver through the defense. Jason Powell who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Nash Cuddihy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
