James Ritter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cole Hollis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 5 played minutes North Melbourne got a freekick which was hit by Humphry Couzens. James Ritter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cole Hollis in the 8th minute of play. Braedan Raison kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the game, Jesse Pfingst cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Blade Knevett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Calvin Dalglish received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Blade Knevett tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Independiente's zone, Jesse Pfingst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blade Knevett came out of the goal and Jesse Pfingst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Braedan Raison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. James Ritter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ike Coldicutt in the 25th minute of play forced North Melbourne's goalkeeper James Ritter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club A. Independiente's zone, Jesse Pfingst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Blade Knevett came out of the goal and Jesse Pfingst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 35 minutes in the game, Calvin Dalglish fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Blade Knevett having to interfere. If Calvin Dalglish had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 39 minutes, Humphry Couzens managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Melbourne's supporters crossed their fingers, but Humphry Couzens was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 40 minutes, Keefer Samuels mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Club A. Independiente and the North Melbourne players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 40th minute, Keefer Samuels hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute Calvin Dalglish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blade Knevett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Blade Knevett showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Calvin Dalglish, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Braedan Raison made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Calvin Dalglish cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Blade Knevett was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 67 minutes in the game, Calvin Dalglish dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. In the 69th minute Calvin Dalglish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Blade Knevett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cole Hollis in the 76thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of James Ritter, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Calvin Dalglish kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jesse Pfingst in the 85th minute of play forced Club A. Independiente's goalkeeper Blade Knevett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jesse Pfingst struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Blade Knevett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for North Melbourne. Jesse Pfingst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Calvin Dalglish came free, but Blade Knevett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. North Melbourne fully deserved thier win.
