In the 8th minute, Downing Guy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Durbin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Downing Guy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Richard Durbin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute, Downing Guy ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Richard Durbin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Downing Guy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Richard Durbin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. Richard Durbin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Breasley in the 25th minute of play. Downing Guy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the game, The Z Team's Patrick Breasley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Richard Durbin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 36th minute, Anthony Didlick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bath Colman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Russel Huther took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bath Colman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, The Z Team's Arne Mueller got a free kick in the 46th minute. Bryanne Freel took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Russel Huther. The Z Team's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half The Z Team were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Downing Guy stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Bath Colman managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stanley's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bath Colman was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Patrick Breasley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, The Z Team's goal looked a bit too open when Brooks Cawthorne came free, but Russel Huther reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Patrick Breasley got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 84th minute Bath Colman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russel Huther saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stanley's Brooks Cawthorne got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patrick Breasley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Richard Durbin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Durbin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Downing Guy showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 94 minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. The Z Team had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
