Spectators: 7925 (Terracing: 6050, Seating: 1855, VIP seats: 20) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jerrard Simpson got the match started through his kick off. When Humphry Couzens fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored North Melbourne's protests and gave Humphry Couzens a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Blackened FC booed when North Melbourne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Humphry Couzens didn't get a good kick on the ball. Arne Carragher could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Sam Behla made a huge save. If Andy Howarth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 19 minutes into the game, Abe Pegler threw the ball into play from the sideline. Blackened FC's Ben Ancell quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, North Melbourne's Tony Schulzte got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Blackened FC's Sam Behla proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Blackened FC from getting a goal against them. In the 32nd minute, Jesse Pfingst left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The North Melbourne fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Jerrard Simpson struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. James Ritter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Blackened FC. After 38 played minutes North Melbourne got a freekick which was hit by Hans Teuma. In the 39th minute Jack Park shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but James Ritter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jack Park came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Blackened FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jack Park couldn't finish the play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Calvin Dalglish made a kick off. Sam Behla showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humphry Couzens, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. The supporters of Blackened FC booed when North Melbourne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tony Schulzte didn't get a good kick on the ball. James Ritter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andy Howarth in the 85th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes Jack Park rounded North Melbourne's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Blackened FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
