Spectators: 7900 (Terracing: 6000, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bill Oconnell kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Neville Sparrow in the 3rd minute of play forced SHENHUA FC's goalkeeper Earl Pegrum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stan Weller received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Irving Wenham came out and tried to block the shot, but Stan Weller slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 5th minute. Earl Pegrum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bradshaw Mckinnes in the 13th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Corder Clist got free with Irving Wenham in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bill Oconnell scored 1-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Earl Pegrum, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Irving Wenham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Corder Clist's shot from short distance in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tooligie's zone, Archie Rafferty stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Irving Wenham came out of the goal and Archie Rafferty tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 29 played minutes SHENHUA FC got a freekick which was hit by Stan Weller. Stan Weller took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Irving Wenham. Irving Wenham dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. Stan Weller scored 4-1 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Irving Wenham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Stan Weller could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Irving Wenham made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corder Clist in the 47th minute of play forced Tooligie's goalkeeper Irving Wenham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Corder Clist to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Tooligie's goal looked a bit too open when Corder Clist came free, but Irving Wenham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 52 minutes, Andres Wilson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SHENHUA FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andres Wilson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 53rd minute, Stan Weller ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Irving Wenham was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Corder Clist charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Corder Clist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Corder Clist kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Corder Clist in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Irving Wenham saved Tooligie from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stan Weller in the 66th minute of play forced Tooligie's goalkeeper Irving Wenham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Irving Wenham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Corder Clist's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. If Doyle Best had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Irving Wenham took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corder Clist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute Corder Clist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irving Wenham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Byron Dollamore in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Irving Wenham prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 75 minutes into the match, Corder Clist notched a goal, 6-1, to the right of Tooligie's Irving Wenham. Irving Wenham was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 81st minute, Logan Kiel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Neville Sparrow could shoot a difficult shot in the 84th minute, which Earl Pegrum however easily saved by the left post. In the 87th minute Byron Dollamore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irving Wenham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 7-1 when Corder Clist sped through Tooligie's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Irving Wenham. In the 95th minute Byron Dollamore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Irving Wenham saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the SHENHUA FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
