Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lambton's Randall Smoothey started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes SHENHUA FC got a freekick which was hit by Dacosta Kile. 6 minutes into the match, SHENHUA FC's goalkeeper Earl Pegrum had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bo Couzens. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Slattery in the 7th minute of play forced SHENHUA FC's goalkeeper Earl Pegrum to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 9 minutes into the match, SHENHUA FC's goal looked a bit too open when Randall Smoothey came free, but Earl Pegrum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stan Weller's late challenge caught a Lambton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Andres Wilson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute Randall Smoothey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Earl Pegrum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Corder Clist hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Brand Whittington showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corder Clist in the 26th minute of the match. With 27 minutes on the clock, Andy Sugden commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Earl Pegrum showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Slattery in the 31st minute of the match. When Byron Dollamore fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SHENHUA FC's protests and gave Byron Dollamore a yellow card for diving instead. Byron Dollamore kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Earl Pegrum made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Bo Couzens sent off a good shot on target. Byron Dollamore received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Brand Whittington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Earl Pegrum took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Slattery, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brand Whittington came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by SHENHUA FC's Byron Dollamore. But to his dismay, Byron Dollamore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Lambton getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Peter Bowen hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Peter Bowen made a precise shot to the right of Earl Pegrum. SHENHUA FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Earl Pegrum made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Slattery in the 66th minute of play. A collision led to SHENHUA FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Byron Dollamore hit a great ball. Bo Couzens struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Earl Pegrum didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lambton. Bo Couzens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Earl Pegrum tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Earl Pegrum was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience was convinced that Bo Couzens's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Earl Pegrum was relentless in the 91st minute of the game. Lambton were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
