Spectators: 6859 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1859, VIP seats: 0) Christopher Cudmore made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4thth minute of the game Doyle Best who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Beruna's Adolph Cubitt was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 7 minutes, Earl Pegrum successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Earl Pegrum made a fantastic save in the 13th minute, when Bremen Schenck sent off a good shot on target. Corder Clist got in the 19th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Adolph Cubitt handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Davey Sparrow kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abe Hursey during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Beruna's Abe Hursey got a free kick in the 23rd minute. With an all-out effort, Beruna's Earl Pegrum threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Abe Hursey, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Beruna's Adolph Cubitt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corder Clist in the 28th minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of SHENHUA FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Beruna:s goal. The goalkeeper, Earl Pegrum, was totally fooled by Beruna's Oliver Stockwin, who 32 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Adolph Cubitt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Doyle Best, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Beruna's goal looked a bit too open when Corder Clist came free, but Adolph Cubitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Stan Weller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stan Weller might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adolph Cubitt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stan Weller ran back to his position shaking his head. SHENHUA FC's Corder Clist got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 44 minutes of play, SHENHUA FC's Stan Weller made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adolph Cubitt was left in no man's land by his defense there! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Corder Clist to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stan Weller in the 54th minute of play forced Beruna's goalkeeper Adolph Cubitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andres Wilson in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adolph Cubitt saved Beruna from getting behind. SHENHUA FC's Earl Pegrum played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abe Hursey in the 56th minute of play. In the 74th minute Christopher Cudmore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Earl Pegrum saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Corder Clist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 78 played minutes Corder Clist rounded Beruna's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-4. In the 82nd match minute, Beruna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lowrey Hinder to maneuver through the defense. Archie Rafferty sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adolph Cubitt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corder Clist, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Adolph Cubitt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stan Weller in the 86th minute of play. Corder Clist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Andres Wilson managed to get in a good position for a shot. SHENHUA FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Andres Wilson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adolph Cubitt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stan Weller blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adolph Cubitt having to make a save. Stan Weller's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adolph Cubitt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Corder Clist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adolph Cubitt was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. SHENHUA FC played a much better game than Beruna and deserved their victory. The Beruna players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
