Spectators: 7947 (Terracing: 5961, Seating: 1828, VIP seats: 158) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brandon Brennan started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Ronald Kidman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dean Smoothy was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Booroorban's zone, Brandon Brennan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles Dorrell came out of the goal and Brandon Brennan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lewis Couzens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Smoothy having to interfere. Lewis Couzens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Dean Smoothy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lewis Couzens in the 12th minute of play forced Bundaberg RUMblers's goalkeeper Dean Smoothy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 15 minutes into the game, Ronald Kidman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Dean Smoothy was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 20 minutes into the match, Bundaberg RUMblers's goal looked a bit too open when Lewis Couzens came free, but Dean Smoothy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lewis Couzens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Dean Smoothy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lewis Couzens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Brandon Brennan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Charles Dorrell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charles Dorrell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brandon Brennan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bart Wadley's late challenge caught a Bundaberg RUMblers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bart Wadley helped the player get up and apologised. After 45 played minutes Booroorban got a freekick which was hit by Bart Wadley. Dean Smoothy came out of the goal in the 48th minute to try and stop a shot by Booroorban's Lewis Couzens. But to his dismay, Lewis Couzens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After the first half Booroorban were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Lewis Couzens was the one to do the kick off. Dean Smoothy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lewis Couzens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Booroorban's Charles Dorrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Randall Anders in the 66th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Randall Anders got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Charles Dorrell came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Bundaberg RUMblers's Randall Anders. But to his dismay, Randall Anders quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 73 minutes into the game, Edmund Wenham was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Booroorban's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bundaberg RUMblers the free kick. Edmund Wenham hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Randall Anders sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Bundaberg RUMblers getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Remington Willison hit a great ball. Ronald Kidman could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Dean Smoothy made a huge save. When Dagan Lucas fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bundaberg RUMblers's protests and gave Dagan Lucas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th match minute, Bundaberg RUMblers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagan Lucas to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Ronald Kidman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Booroorban's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronald Kidman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dean Smoothy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 87 minutes into the match, Bundaberg RUMblers's goal looked a bit too open when Lewis Couzens came free, but Dean Smoothy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 91 minutes, Randall Anders put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Charles Dorrell. Charles Dorrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Randall Anders, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Rex Mckinnes charged in rather forcefully in the 99th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rex Mckinnes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 98 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Booroorban! The referee gave Bundaberg RUMblers a penalty, 100 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rodney Porteus, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Booroorban's Charles Dorrell. 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Booroorban players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bundaberg RUMblers.
