Thanks to some nice moves Ronald Kidman could shoot a difficult shot in the 8th minute, which Berry Brady however easily saved by the left post. When Landsborough's Ray Calver in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jemmett Diefenbach's late challenge caught a Booroorban's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jemmett Diefenbach helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Jemmett Diefenbach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 26 minutes into the match, Booroorban's goal looked a bit too open when Brown Black came free, but Charles Dorrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charles Dorrell stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ray Calver's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Brown Black sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 played minutes Booroorban got a freekick which was hit by Edmund Wenham. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ray Calver in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Charles Dorrell saved Booroorban from getting behind. Landsborough's Brown Black got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brown Black sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ray Calver to strike the kick off in the second half. With splendid footwork Brown Black arrived in front of goal to shoot 0-1 by the left pole in the game's 52nd minute. Brown Black could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Charles Dorrell made a huge save. Brown Black sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Booroorban's zone, Ray Calver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Charles Dorrell came out of the goal and Ray Calver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 63 minutes, Charles Dorrell successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Brown Black might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Charles Dorrell. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Brown Black ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lewis Couzens in the 71st minute of play forced Landsborough's goalkeeper Berry Brady to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Booroorban booed when Landsborough was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jemmett Diefenbach didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brown Blacks short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Charles Dorrell to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Jemmett Diefenbach hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Brown Black struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Charles Dorrell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Landsborough. Landsborough's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
