Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Iggy Clist got the match started through his kick off. Brand Schoenke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Cole Odonahoo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Middlefield's zone, Dugald Markcrow stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthew Markwell came out of the goal and Dugald Markcrow tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Calvin Peterson during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Middlefield getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Calvin Peterson hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Brand Schoenke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cole Odonahoo was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Cole Odonahoo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brand Schoenke, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Middlefield's Brand Schoenke got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Iggy Clist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 29 minutes into the match, Middlefield's Boyce Lunt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cole Odonahoo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Calvin Peterson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brand Schoenke in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cole Odonahoo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 40 minutes into the match, Middlefield's goalkeeper Matthew Markwell had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dugald Markcrow. After 43 minutes of play, Middlefield's Brand Schoenke made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cole Odonahoo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brand Schoenke was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Brand Schoenke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cole Odonahoo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cole Odonahoo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brand Schoenke's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. In the 57th minute Dugald Markcrow shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthew Markwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iggy Kurth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brand Schoenke in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cole Odonahoo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Alberto Shortis took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Cole Odonahoo to make any attempt to save it. After some careless play in the Tigers United defense, Boyce Lunt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cole Odonahoo. The Tigers United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cole Odonahoo should have stopped the shot. Iggy Kurth was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 79th minute. Middlefield's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Cole Odonahoo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brand Schoenke in the 81st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Brand Schoenke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cole Odonahoo was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. Cole Odonahoo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brand Schoenke, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. If Iggy Kurth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brand Schoenke in the 90th minute of play forced Tigers United's goalkeeper Cole Odonahoo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cole Odonahoo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brand Schoenke in the 95th minute of the match. Middlefield played a much better game than Tigers United and deserved their victory. The Tigers United players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
