Bran Whittington started the match with the kick off. 9 minutes into the match, Landsborough's goalkeeper Berry Brady had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Allen Lucas. Jemmett Diefenbach hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Navarro Duggan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ray Calver in the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Landsborough's Jemmett Diefenbach got a free kick in the 15th minute. Navarro Duggan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ray Calver went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Ray Calver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Navarro Duggan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Brown Black had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Landsborough defense, Allen Lucas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Berry Brady. The Landsborough fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Berry Brady should have stopped the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Navarro Duggan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ray Calver, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 55th minute Allen Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berry Brady saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 55th minute, Rodney Loch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bran Whittington had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. In the 79th minute Allen Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berry Brady saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the game, Gurulmundi's Allen Lucas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Berry Brady made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Ray Calver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Navarro Duggan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Berry Brady showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bran Whittington in the 92nd minute of the match. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Gurulmundi fans cheered their team off the field, for while Landsborough had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
