Seating: 1840, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Brandon Brennan got the match started through his kick off. When Rodney Porteus fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bundaberg RUMblers's protests and gave Rodney Porteus a yellow card for diving instead. Brooks Coote received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Dean Smoothy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bundaberg RUMblers's Dean Smoothy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brooks Coote in the 8th minute of play. After 10th play minutes Brooks Coote shot 1-0, a short shot which went by Dean Smoothy and just under the crossbar into goal. Brooks Coote fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dean Smoothy having to interfere. Dean Smoothy didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 17th minute, which inside left pole to 2-0. Dean Smoothy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brooks Coote's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. A nice corner shot did that Rodney Porteus got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Edmonds Turner quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Edmonds Turner showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brandon Brennan in the 26th minute of the match. 27 minutes into the match, Doolbi's Brooks Coote sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dean Smoothy narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Adolph Orvad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bundaberg RUMblers's goalkeeper Dean Smoothy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bundaberg RUMblers's Dean Smoothy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brooks Coote in the 41st minute of play. Dean Smoothy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Brooker Peplow went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score.
After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Brooker Peplow managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doolbi's supporters rose to their feet, but Brooker Peplow was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dean Smoothy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 54thth minute of the game Brooks Coote who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bundaberg RUMblers's Dean Smoothy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edmonds Turner showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brandon Brennan, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute, Brooker Peplow got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Adolph Orvad struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Dean Smoothy didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Doolbi. 62 minutes into the match, Lance Glover had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dean Smoothy. Bundaberg RUMblers's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lance Glover was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Brooker Peplow in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dean Smoothy saved Bundaberg RUMblers from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remington Willison in the 68th minute of play forced Doolbi's goalkeeper Edmonds Turner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmonds Turner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brandon Brennan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 74 minutes into the game, Doolbi's Brooks Coote nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dean Smoothy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Dean Smoothy stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adolph Orvad's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brooker Peplow in the 80th minute of play forced Bundaberg RUMblers's goalkeeper Dean Smoothy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dean Smoothy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolph Orvad in the 81st minute of the match. Brooks Coote sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Brooker Peplow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Dean Smoothy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dean Smoothy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lance Glover in the 90th minute of play. Doolbi's Adolph Orvad got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Adolph Orvad came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Doolbi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolph Orvad couldn't finish the play.
