Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Brooks Coote started the match with the kick off. After 3 minutes, Jackson Morey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Landsborough and the Doolbi players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd match minute, Landsborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jackson Morey to maneuver through the defense. Brooker Peplow received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Berry Brady tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Landsborough's Herbert Haberle got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jemmett Diefenbach's late challenge caught a Doolbi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jemmett Diefenbach helped the player get up and apologised. In the 11th minute, Jemmett Diefenbach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th match minute, Landsborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bradford Missen to maneuver through the defense. When Adolph Orvad came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Doolbi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adolph Orvad couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind Landsborough's goalkeeper Berry Brady, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Berry Brady showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brooker Peplow, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. 26 minutes into the match, Landsborough's goal looked a bit too open when Brooks Coote came free, but Berry Brady reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ray Calver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th minute of the match, Brown Black got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edmonds Turner was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 37th minute Adolph Orvad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Berry Brady saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Brooker Peplow in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Berry Brady prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Landsborough's Berry Brady played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brooks Coote in the 41st minute of play. Adolph Orvad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Berry Brady having to interfere. Berry Brady showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brooker Peplow, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After having played for 48 minutes, Brooker Peplow managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Doolbi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Brooker Peplow was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Brooks Coote received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Berry Brady tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Brooks Coote came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Doolbi fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brooks Coote couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Darian Hursey during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 56th minute, Darian Hursey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Berry Brady made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brooks Coote in the 60th minute of play. Adolph Orvad took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Berry Brady. Berry Brady dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 65 minutes into the game, Adolph Orvad cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Berry Brady was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 69 minutes into the match, Landsborough's goalkeeper Berry Brady had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adolph Orvad. In the 70thth minute of the game Brooks Coote who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Landsborough's Berry Brady was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 74th minute Brown Black shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edmonds Turner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Brooker Peplow hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 79th minute, Brown Black got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Ray Calver managed to get in a good position for a shot. Landsborough's supporters rose to their feet, but Ray Calver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmonds Turner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, Ray Calver notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Doolbi's Edmonds Turner. Edmonds Turner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Landsborough's zone, Brooks Coote stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Berry Brady came out of the goal and Brooks Coote tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 90th minute, Brown Black ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Edmonds Turner was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. If Jemmett Diefenbach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 96 played minutes Doolbi got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Oreilly. Doolbi's Edmonds Turner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brown Black in the 97th minute of play. 97 minutes into the match, Brown Black had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmonds Turner. Doolbi's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Brown Black was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Doolbi players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Landsborough.
