The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Everitt Pegrum acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 4th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Duffield Gannan. 6 minutes into the game, Albert Argoud recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Everitt Pegrum. Albert Argoud showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Corder Voller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Henry Turnor having to interfere. If Hal Mcinnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 1-1 became the score in the 21st minute when Hal Mcinnes elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 23rd match minute, Halifax was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boris Tencer to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Corder Voller in the 27th minute of play forced Halifax's goalkeeper Henry Turnor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Henry Turnor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hal Mcinnes in the 28th minute of play. Henry Turnor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Corder Voller in the 29th minute of the match. Corder Voller struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Henry Turnor didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cooneel. After 33 minutes, Corder Voller mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cooneel and the Halifax players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Cooneel getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Corder Voller hit a great ball. 36 minutes into the match, Halifax's Albert Argoud sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Everitt Pegrum narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The wind increased when Albert Argoud made the kick off in the second half. Kane Ashwin kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Brock Weller, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cooneel's zone, Albert Argoud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Everitt Pegrum came out of the goal and Albert Argoud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everitt Pegrum showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irving Ross, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. After a rather tough play, Halifax's Neal Moorby got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 70 played minutes, Cooneel's Duke Yard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Henry Turnor came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Cooneel reached it. Halifax's Henry Turnor played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Corder Voller in the 72nd minute of play. If Bran Allcock had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corder Voller sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hal Mcinnes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 78thth minute tested the skills of Henry Turnor when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Halifax's Henry Turnor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Halifax from getting a goal against them. Henry Turnor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corder Voller, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Hal Mcinnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Henry Turnor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Neal Moorby kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match. The Halifax fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Cooneel were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
