After a rather tough play, Norfolk Enchance's Paul Ludwick got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Norfolk Enchance's zone, Justin Mcvey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgar Fraser came out of the goal and Justin Mcvey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 15th minute, Sabastian Goodbun fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Sabastian Goodbun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Bernie Surman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Norfolk Enchance's Edgar Fraser played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evan Cridland in the 23rd minute of play. In the 25th minute, Meruthera's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Browne Shirdon fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sabastian Goodbun in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernie Surman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Browne Shirdon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernie Surman having to interfere. Bernie Surman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabastian Goodbun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd match minute, Norfolk Enchance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danny Lamb to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the match, Norfolk Enchance's Browne Shirdon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernie Surman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Browne Shirdon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernie Surman having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Evan Cridland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Norfolk Enchance's Edgar Fraser proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Norfolk Enchance from getting a goal against them. After 62 played minutes Meruthera got a freekick which was hit by Craig Orvad. In the 67th minute Davey Guy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgar Fraser saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jemmett Babbage hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Sabastian Goodbun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernie Surman having to interfere. When Browne Shirdon came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Norfolk Enchance fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Browne Shirdon couldn't finish the play.
