Spectators: 6950 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 150) Justin Mcvey started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 6th minute Murdock Fallen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernie Surman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernie Surman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murdock Fallen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Davey Guy kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Barry Keayes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bickford Vaughan struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Bernie Surman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kurrara. Evan Cridland in the 19thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bishop Clark, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bishop Clark made an important save on a dangerous shot by Evan Cridland in the 21st minute. Evan Cridland's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Bishop Clark skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bernie Surman came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Kurrara's Murdock Fallen. But to his dismay, Murdock Fallen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Bernie Surman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murdock Fallen in the 31st minute of the match. Bernie Surman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Barry Keayes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evan Cridland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Bishop Clark tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barry Keayes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernie Surman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murdock Fallen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Meruthera players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kurrara were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Barry Keayes made the kick off in the second half. Bernie Surman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Barry Keayes in the 52nd minute of play. Kurrara's Bishop Clark played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Justin Mcvey in the 54th minute of play. When Davey Guy fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Meruthera's protests and gave Davey Guy a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Kurrara booed when Meruthera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Davey Guy didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barry Keayes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Murdock Fallen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Barry Keayes came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Kurrara fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Barry Keayes couldn't finish the play. Murdock Fallen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bernie Surman read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Meruthera's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Barry Keayes scored to the left of an out of position Bernie Surman, making the score, 0-3. Bickford Vaughan charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bickford Vaughan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 79 played minutes Kurrara got a freekick which was hit by Bickford Vaughan. Meruthera's Bernie Surman proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Meruthera from getting a goal against them. Barry Keayes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 87th minute Barry Keayes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernie Surman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Meruthera's goal looked a bit too open when Barry Keayes came free, but Bernie Surman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Murdock Fallen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barry Keayes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Davey Guy kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. After 97 minutes Meruthera's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Barnabas Watts who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Kurrara's Barnabas Watts to fire away a dangerous shot which Bernie Surman despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Kurrara walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
