Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 3 minutes, Patrick Owens mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mullumbimby and the Nicholson players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 3rd minute of the game. One of Mullumbimby:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Nicholson:s goal. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Nicholson. Lawrence Brotherton stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Neil Tout. 0-1. Ivan Askew recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Brant Newton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Askew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neil Tout having to interfere. Neil Tout showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Herbert Coburn in the 17th minute of the match. Neil Tout didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ivan Askew went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When David Hoey fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mullumbimby's protests and gave David Hoey a yellow card for diving instead. David Hoey hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Herbert Coburn took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Neil Tout. Neil Tout dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. 0-4 became the score in the 30th minute when Herbert Coburn elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Herbert Coburn had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Neil Tout. Mullumbimby's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Herbert Coburn was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Bleyd Clist made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Brant Newton sent off a good shot on target. Bleyd Clist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Hoey in the 38th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Mullumbimby's Drew Woodbridge got a free kick in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Ivan Askew made a precise shot to the right of Neil Tout. Mullumbimby's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. In the 48th minute, Mullumbimby's David Hoey ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bleyd Clist. Bleyd Clist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-6.

Nicholson's Ivan Askew got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Brant Newton charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Brant Newton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Mullumbimby's Brant Newton got a free kick in the 56th minute. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Mullumbimby's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Lawrence Brotherton was slow to take the kick. During this time Nicholson's players had a chance to rest. Braedan Shipman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ivan Askew recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Mullumbimby's Alex Toth got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Ivan Askew sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Mullumbimby's Neil Tout got control of the ball when Barney Bonison tried to sneak it across the goal line. Herbert Coburn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Brant Newton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Bleyd Clist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brant Newton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. David Hoey kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. 99 minutes into the match, Nicholson's Herbert Coburn sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Neil Tout narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
