Spectators: 8024 (Terracing: 6020, Seating: 1845, VIP seats: 159) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Otto Jobson made the kick off which started today's match. 6 minutes into the game, Paco Odd was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bamarong's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave NSW Fighters the free kick. After 6 played minutes Bamarong got a freekick which was hit by Paco Odd. After 8 played minutes, NSW Fighters's Bradshaw Cridland shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Darryl Mcvey came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in NSW Fighters reached it. Darryl Mcvey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Paull in the 10th minute of play. Marco Paull received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Darryl Mcvey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 23 minutes into the match, Bamarong's goal looked a bit too open when Marco Paull came free, but Darryl Mcvey reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jarrett Connolly showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cod Kidman, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 25th match minute, Bamarong was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kale Huther to maneuver through the defense. Marco Paull received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Darryl Mcvey tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of NSW Fighters booed when Bamarong was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Battle Rheistein didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute of the match Brye Aroege sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Darryl Mcvey skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Cod Kidman kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jarrett Connolly. That made the score 2-0 in the 35 minute of play. Darryl Mcvey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blade Macinnes in the 40th minute of the match. If Otto Jobson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Otto Jobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The supporters of Bamarong booed when NSW Fighters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Jobson didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, NSW Fighters's goal looked a bit too open when Cod Kidman came free, but Jarrett Connolly reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ellis Duggan fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NSW Fighters's protests and gave Ellis Duggan a yellow card for diving instead. In the 63rd minute, Ellis Duggan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cod Kidman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarrett Connolly having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in NSW Fighters's zone, Burns Muller stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jarrett Connolly came out of the goal and Burns Muller tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Marco Paull had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darryl Mcvey made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otto Jobson in the 79th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Paull got free with Darryl Mcvey in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. NSW Fighters's Otto Jobson got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 87th minute, Bill Thorne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Otto Jobson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Burns Muller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 94 played minutes NSW Fighters got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Watts. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burns Muller in the 96th minute of play forced NSW Fighters's goalkeeper Jarrett Connolly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Jobson in the 98th minute of play forced Bamarong's goalkeeper Darryl Mcvey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
