After having played for 3 minutes, Joseph Caddick managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neoteric FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joseph Caddick was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Glover sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Burt Hart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Joseph Caddick kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Burt Hart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burns Deal having to interfere. Burns Deal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Glover, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Neoteric FC's Bruno Glover got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 24 played minutes Hawthorn FC got a freekick which was hit by Luck Day. Bruno Glover received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Burns Deal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Doyle Tarrant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Burt Hart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Glover fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Burns Deal having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Bruno Glover got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bruno Glover to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Hawthorn FC's Damian Clubley got a free kick in the 51st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Hawthorn FC's zone, Bruno Glover stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Burns Deal came out of the goal and Bruno Glover tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alex Alwege was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 58 minutes into the match. The supporters of Hawthorn FC booed when Neoteric FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alex Alwege didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nichol Millgate struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Matthias Tongs didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hawthorn FC. The crowd rose to their feet as Payne Roach kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Matthias Tongs. That made the score 0-1 in the 63 minute of play. When Bock Garing came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Neoteric FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bock Garing couldn't finish the play. 70 minutes into the game, Joseph Caddick cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Burns Deal was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Burt Hart received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Burns Deal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joseph Caddick's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Burns Deal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Luck Day hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. If Burt Hart had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 minutes, Jess Andrews mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hawthorn FC and the Neoteric FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jess Andrews hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hawthorn FC's zone, Philip Bromfield stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Burns Deal came out of the goal and Philip Bromfield tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Joseph Caddick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Burns Deal came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Neoteric FC's Bjorn Cassilly. But to his dismay, Bjorn Cassilly quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Joseph Caddick kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Neoteric FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
